Tutoring
Tutoring built around the student.
Not homework help. Strategic academic development: diagnostic assessment, targeted instruction and long-term growth, built around where each student actually is.
Homework help, or academic development?
Both have their place. Only one changes what a student can do next year.
| Homework help | Strategic academic development |
|---|---|
| Fixes tonight's assignment | Builds the skill underneath it |
| Starts from the homework | Starts from a diagnostic |
| Reacts to the next test | Plans across the year |
| Measures hours | Measures progress against goals |
| Stops at the current course | Prepares for the course after it |
No two students begin in the same place.
So no two programs are the same. Each one runs on the same disciplined cycle, and the cycle is what makes progress visible.
- 01
Assess. A diagnostic and a conversation establish exactly where the student is starting.
- 02
Plan. Goals, session cadence and the skills to build, written down and shared with the family.
- 03
Learn. One-to-one online sessions that teach the underlying idea, not just the next assignment.
- 04
Practice. Targeted practice between sessions, sized so it actually gets done.
- 05
Measure. Progress checked against the plan with the same instruments used at the start.
- 06
Adapt. The plan changes when the evidence does. Then the cycle continues.

Online, by design
Sessions run on a shared whiteboard and document workspace, so every problem, draft and note is saved for review.
The same tutor
Students work with a consistent tutor who knows their history, not whoever is available that week.
Reports families can read
Regular written updates on what was covered, what improved and what comes next.
